We offer two ways to begin your journey at Amana, depending on your clinical goals and readiness. Both options are conducted via our secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
Option A: The Preliminary Consultation (15 Minutes — Free)
If you have questions about our diagnostic model or wish to ensure a clinical fit before committing to a full evaluation, you may schedule a brief consultation directly with Dr. Ismail. During this call, we will discuss your history and determine the most effective path forward—whether medical, therapeutic, or an integrated combination of both.
Option B: Direct Clinical Entry
If you are ready to begin immediately, you may request your initial intake session directly through our patient portal.
The Diagnostic Foundation (Psychiatric & Medical): A 75-minute comprehensive evaluation with Dr. Ismail focused on diagnostic refinement, medication optimization, and physiological wellness.
Available for residents of Illinois and Michigan.
Initial Evaluation Fee: $365.
Therapeutic Intake (Behavioral Health): A dedicated therapeutic session with Khalled Ismail, LLMSW, focusing on evidence-based behavioral health and spiritual integration.
Initial Evaluation fee: $155
Available for residents of Illinois and Michigan.

Residency Requirements
Due to medical licensing regulations, patients must be physically located in Illinois or Michigan at the time of their appointment.

Telehealth Format
All care is delivered via high-definition, secure video. You will receive a unique link prior to your scheduled time.

The Direct-Pay Model
Amana is an out-of-network practice. This allows us to provide longer sessions and maintain total diagnostic integrity. We can provide monthly Superbills for patients who wish to seek reimbursement from their PPO insurance providers.

Bilingual Care
Only psychiatric sessions are available in both English and Arabic.

Care Team & Clinician Preferences
All initial evaluations are led by Dr. Ismail to establish a rigorous, physician-led foundation for your care. Following the intake process, patients have the option to schedule follow-up appointments exclusively with Ebteehal Ismail, PA-C, providing a dedicated path for those who prefer a female clinician for their long-term medication management.
